The South Okanagan Similkameen Health Care Society (SOS Health Care Society), an organization that supports local family physicians with a mission to improve comprehensive primary patient care is looking for a Full-time Medical Office Assistant (MOA) in Penticton to provide clerical and administrative support to physicians, nurse practitioners and allied health professionals enabling the clinic to run smoothly and ensuing patients feel well taken care of. Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check-in patients at the front desk
  • Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
  • Maintain patient records and update information as needed
  • Verify insurance coverage and process billing information
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
  • Ensure a clean and organized office environment
