Description:
Medical Office Assistant
This busy family practice in the SW is looking for a Medical Office Assistant to join their team.
Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to) :
-Opening/Closing duties
-Greeting patients arriving for their appointment
-Verifying patient’s demographics in EMR system
-Booking/confirming appointments
-Scanning and linking of documents
-Sorting/sending mail/faxes
-Handling cash, debit machine and issuing receipts
-Recalling patients for follow up appointments
-Referral Management, follow-ups and notifying patients for their specialist appointments
-Assisting doctors, taking vitals
-Other administrative duties
We are looking for:
-At least 6 months experience in a medical office setting
-Outstanding customer service
-Ability to multi task
-Ability to work under pressure
-Experience with EMR (MedAccess)
-Computer skills/experience (required) with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (preferred).
-A professional and friendly personality and appearance
-Someone who will take initiative and also follows direction
