Description:

The post forms part of the Nuclear Medicine Physics section of the Medical Physics Department. The section provides specialist scientific support and expert advice to the diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine service at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. The section also provides scientific support services to a number of other NHS and private Nuclear Medicine departments across the South East of England. The post holder will work as part of a highly skilled team of scientists to ensure that a safe, high-quality and proactive Nuclear Medicine service is provided at the Royal Surrey and other department supported by the team.
Working in the main department at Guildford and also providing support to the outside centres, you will be involved in all aspects of the clinical service including equipment quality assurance, imaging, in-vitro tests, molecular radiotherapy and support for the PET/CT units. Involvement in research and development projects will be encouraged. We are active in clinical and academic research, participating in a number of molecular radiotherapy clinical trials. We also have a joint post with the National Physical Laboratory within the team, and close links to the University of Surrey.
Training and development is actively supported, including course and conference attendance and STP and HSST training
