JOB DETAILS
We are looking for someone who is looking to start their career in administration and can efficiently and effectively provide the office support needed a medical centre.
You will be mentored by healthcare professionals while completing a blend of on-the-job training and theory coursework.
Undertaking this 12-month traineeship and BSB30120 Certificate III in Business (Medical Administration) will allow you to put theory into practice and gain valuable experience in the workplace to set you up for a successful career as a medical receptionist.
In this traineeship you will learn how to:
- Handle phone enquiries courteously and professionally
- Interact compassionately with patients and their families
- Receive and convey messages, via phone, email, and in person
- Efficiently book and manage appointments, including staff and doctor meetings
- Handle medical centre documents correctly, including scanning, filing and mailing
- Provide general administrative assistance and billing support EFTPOS and cash handling
- Monitor stationary and clinical supplies and place orders as necessary, also help maintain a clean and organised clinic environment
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for motivated applicants committed to completing a formal qualification in Business (Medical Administration) with:
- Ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Sound computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) and software
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, a team player able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Desire to learn all the duties required of a medical centre receptionist
- A friendly, compassionate and patient focussed attitude
- CPR Training completed within last 3 years, or a willingness to undertake it
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen, and Police Check
