Description:
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations in a fast-paced medical or dental office environment. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and maintaining electronic medical records with accuracy and efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be fluent in English, and familar with medical terms;
- Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin;
- Previous experience as a receptionist in a medical or dental office is preferred.
- Proficiency in using office equipment, phone systems, and electronic medical record systems.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare setting.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients, families, and staff members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure all patient information is up-to-date.
- Utilize software systems such as Epic and Dentrix for appointment scheduling and patient management.
- Understand and apply medical terminology to facilitate effective communication with patients and healthcare providers.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office.
- Handle billing inquiries and process payments as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to create a welcoming environment for patients.
