Description:

CASUAL MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

We are currently seeking a motivated, well-organised receptionist with good communication skills to join our supportive administration team. Applicants must have a good attitude and willingness to learn. The role will involve full administrative duties as well as liaising with patients and medical staff. This position reports directly to the Practice Manager.
We require someone who is available with flexibility to cover annual leave and sick leave and covering urgent last minute shifts if required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming and checking in patients
  • Scheduling appointments and managing patient records
  • Communicating with other medical and allied health professionals
  • Managing billing and account management tasks
  • Providing warm and welcoming customer service to patients
  • Communicating with healthcare professionals and team members
  • Management of computer based records and appointment systems
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist, and experience with Best Practice records system - preferred but not essential
  • Well presented, punctual and professional
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively
  • Ability to work as a part of a team based environment
  • Roster flexibility
