The Omineca Medical Clinic is actively recruiting applicants for a full-time position with our Front Reception team.
Job Summary
We need a friendly and efficient receptionist who will be the first point of contact for our patients and other clients. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and proficiency in data entry. Experience in a medical clinic or other health care setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, both in-person and on the phone, and assist with scheduling appointments, and other associated tasks. Handle a multi-line phone system.
  • Maintain electronic medical records and ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, scanning of documents/ records, and filing.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers to facilitate smooth office operations.

Requirements

  • Ideally, relevant training or past experience as a certified medical office assistant (MOA) or a receptionist in a similar role in a medical, dental or other professional office.
  • Medical terminology training would be an asset but is not a requirement.
  • Experience with an electronic medical record system, such as MOIS, would be helpful.
  • Strong keyboarding and data entry skills, with an attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in-person, and written. Enjoys working with the public.
  • Tact, discretion, and the ability to maintain the confidentiality of patient records.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and to multi-task in a face-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude, a willingness to learn new skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-based setting.
