JOB DESCRIPTION:
This role will involve working closely with the Practice team including members of the Primary Care Network Team to support them administratively to deliver and provide safe and effective patient care. To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team.
We are a busy GP Practice in Brighton, currently looking to recruit friendly and confident applicants for a Receptionist/Patient Care Co-ordinator; the role will encompass various aspects from customer service to conflict resolution and administration which together ensure the smooth running of the team.
Patient Care Co-ordinator: managing the patients experience positively.
The core practice opening times are Monday to Friday 8.00am 6.00pm.
Evening and weekend working may be required as part of a rota.
Hours worked in excess of contracted hours are treated as overtime
All applicants must have a good general standard of education including Maths, English and IT and the ability to remain calm and good natured in a very busy and sometimes challenging environment. Excellent customer service skills, telephone manner and the sensitivity to deal with our patients in a kind and efficient way are essential as you will be the first point of contact for our patients.
The Receptionist vacancy will include greeting patients, booking appointments, answering the phone, processing repeat prescriptions, liaising with doctors and other healthcare professionals, dealing with practice online consults and other documentation as well as a number of administration tasks. This is a very busy but varied role working within a friendly, strong and supportive team. Would suit previous call centre experience.
Full training will be given but the role requires someone who is IT literate, happy to learn new software and systems, comfortable with dealing with a high volume of telephone calls, an excellent team player, empathetic and an effective communicator.
