JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations in a fast-paced medical environment, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for patients while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. This role is crucial in supporting the overall efficiency of our medical office.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in operating phone systems and medical office equipment.
  • Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification processes within a medical setting.
  • Experience working in a hospital, medical office, or dental clinic preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained.
  • Experience with Nextech or similar medical software is highly desirable.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with patients from various backgrounds.

  • Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries.
  • Perform clerical tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records.
  • Verify insurance information and assist patients with insurance-related questions.
  • Utilize medical software such as Nextech for patient management and appointment scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and data protection.
  • Assist with the coordination of patient flow within the office to enhance operational efficiency.
