Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front desk operations and patient care. Experience in medical imaging highly preferred, but not required.
This role is vital in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, from greeting patients to coordinating appointments, handling administrative tasks, and supporting the imaging department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a medical receptionist role is required.
  • Experience in imaging or radiology departments is highly preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • PIP verification experience
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, especially related to imaging services.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Verify patient information and update records as needed.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, including those for imaging services (X-rays, MRIs, etc.).
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide information on services offered by the medical center.
  • Coordinate with medical and imaging staff to ensure timely patient flow.
  • Process insurance verifications and handle billing-related inquiries.
  • Manage and organize patient files, ensuring compliance with medical record-keeping regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Assist in preparing imaging paperwork and ensuring proper documentation before procedures.
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate departments.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
