Medical Reception Overview:
Retina Northwest’s Medical Reception staff are responsible for greeting and checking in patients, obtaining and updating insurance and demographic information. Medical Receptionists are key to monitoring and facilitating clinic flow. The Medical Receptionist communicates with staff and Physicians, collects patient payments, answers phones, manages office inventory supplies, and coordinates various clerical duties.
The position of Medical Reception is Full-time and benefited, working Monday-Friday, primarily providing front office support for our clinic and research team at our Lake Oswego location. Education – HS Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience – Minimum of 1 year office experience required, minimum of 1 year medical office experience preferred; key boarding ability of 45 wpm, EHR experience preferred, knowledge of ophthalmic medical office procedures specific to a vitreo-retinal practice highly desirable.
