Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen with our newly created Community AF Service for a fixed term full time Medical Secretary.
The post holder will provide a specialised, comprehensive and confidential patient centred clinical administration and secretarial service to both the Consultant and the Arrhythmia team.
As required, they are to act as a source of advice and guidance regarding the speciality. The post holder will need to have excellent secretarial skills and be able to organise busy schedules and diaries. Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to remain calm under pressure is essential.

Main duties include providing a comprehensive admin service to the AF Service team. The service requirements include ensuring that all of the relevant appointments are booked following Trust policy. Relevant paperwork is correct and up to date, E-referrals, outpatient waiting list, typing, diary management, clinic management and dealing with patient queries.
1: To ensure, wherever possible, that all documentation is up-to-date, in an orderly fashion and available whenever decisions are being made, reporting exceptional circumstances where necessary.
THIS WILL REQUIRE:
Undertaking appropriate staff training and development as required; providing cross-cover on a reciprocal basis in the absence of colleagues and providing day to day supervision where required. To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.
