Description:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary Team Leader to join the Lower Limb secretarial team at County Hospital.
This is perfect opportunity for individuals that are looking to develop their leadership skills to progress in to a management position.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Candidates should possess a professional attitude to their work and have the ability to work flexibly in a busy growing environment.
The post holder is required to provide comprehensive secretarial, waiting list management and administrative support to medical and nursing staff within a specialty team. The post holder will assist medical and nursing colleagues in the organisation of the specialty team workload, communicating appointment and admission related information to patients/carers, ensuring compliance with the Patient Access Policy and Divisional requirements in terms of inpatient waiting list management and typing correspondence and/or transcribing and typing up of minutes as appropriate.
The post holder will supervise the specialty secretarial team in terms of day to day personal issues e.g. annual leave requirements, teams PDRs and also keeping accurate records. The post holder will coordinate the day to day workload of the specialty team within the department, addressing any issues when they arise. To be the first point of contact for any queries relating to the specialty team, delegating as appropriate.
