Site location and information:

  • Telehealth Clinical Technician (Medical Support Assistant) positions supporting but not physically located at the Durham, NC VAMC.
  • This is a remote/telework position.
  • 52 weeks with 2 optional 52 week periods.

Position Summary
Provides an array of complex and specialized duties related to leadership, staff education, technology management, as well as project and program management for all dimensions of virtual care and telehealth initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
Perform support work related to the care and treatment of Veterans to include scheduling patient appointments, tracking, reviewing, and responding to electronic orders, consults, and other elements in the electronic medical record.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Must have active, unrestricted certification as a medical assistant
  • Must have completed medical assistant program
  • High School (HS) or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Must have 3 years experience in a primary care, telemedicine or oncology setting as a medical assistant.
  • GFE will be provided.
