Overview: The Government is seeking contractor personnel to provide various medical support services in support of the Mobilization Force Generation Installation (MFGI) at the Soldier Readiness Processing Center at Ft. Bliss, TX. Medical Support Staff will provide comprehensive medical assessments, treatments and readiness processing for troops being mobilized for deployment. The Medical Support Clerk will provide essential administrative support to ensure efficient patient care and office operations. This role involves interacting with patients, managing records, and assisting healthcare providers.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments, including follow-ups and reminders.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients and staff in a professional manner.
- Assist with insurance verification and patient registration processes.
- Process and maintain medical records, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
- Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate patient care and improve workflow.
- Handle billing inquiries and assist patients with payment processing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess a minimum of one year of experience within the last three years working as a full-time medical clerk in a hospital, clinic, or doctor’s office within the last two years.
- Must possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. (American Red Cross or American Heart Association only!); Note: BLS recertification shall be maintained in a current status at all times.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- An active Secret Clearance is required.
