AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY HAS ARISEN WITHIN THE BUSY ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM THAT SUPPORT THE TIVERTON ADULT CORE MENTAL HEALTH TEAM.

We are seeking a full time, highly motivated and multi-skilled Medical Support Secretary. The position is predominantly providing support for a Community Mental Health Team Consultant Psychiatrist and will be located at Silverlea in Tiverton Hospital.
In addition to providing secretarial support to the Community Consultant Psychiatrist, the post holder will also provide support to the Tiverton Adult Community Administration Team.
The clinical teams offer care and treatment to people with mental health needs, so compassion and understanding is extremely important in this role as you will be the first point of contact for our service users, their family and carers as well as professionals. The post holder will work in partnership with the Clinical teams and Business Administrator, ensuring high quality administrative support that will enable the provision of the best possible care to service users.

Responsibilities:

You will be interacting with patients and the public, therefore you will be confident in giving non-clinical information and advice. Dealing with sensitive information daily, you will understand the importance of data security and confidentiality.
The post holder must be able to work to a high standard with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as excellent diary management and minute taking skills. We welcome applications from those who can demonstrate a commitment to delivering high quality administration support in an efficient and timely manner.
You will be required to use your initiative and have the ability to prioritise work, whilst working calmly and confidently under pressure and able to meet conflicting demands. You will need to multi-task with ease and possess excellent organisational skills as well as an eye for detail. The post holder needs to relate to a wide range of people and professional services. You should have excellent communication skills and an outstanding telephone manner.
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining high standards of professionalism and expected to follow the Trust’s values and behaviours. Other qualities include being punctual, reliable, of smart appearance and hard working with a can-do attitude.
