QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Certified and licensed Medical Technologist with Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) Certification on Intensive Training on Clinical Bacteriology for Medical Laboratory Scientists.
2. Experience of at least 1 year as a practicing Bacteriologist.
3. Experience in Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance Program (ARSP) Accreditation
4. Certificates in specialized training such as Biosafety & Biosecurity, DSSM, and Smear Microscopy.

• Maintains attentiveness of customers’ needs; initiate steps that will comply with their requirements to meet and exceed their expectations.
• Maintains alertness on opportunities for service enhancement; endeavors to continually improve quality to work.
• Supervises and monitors activities of the personnel assigned in the Microbiology Section.
• Checks the validity and accuracy of results, as stated in Quality Assurance Policy of the different units.
• Keeps record pertaining to tests performed and checks charts of test results to ensure that variations and standards are within acceptable quality control ranges.
• Monitors inventory of all supplies and reagents and make a report for discrepancies.
• Prepares Purchase Request to keep stock position of supplies and reagents.
• Performs and validates procedures and reports received microbiology identification and testing.
