Description:
NHS Kent and Medway ICB are seeking to appoint a Medicines Optimisation Technician to work within Medway and Swale HCP.
You will support pharmacists and lead technicians in the implementation of the organisation priorities around QIPP and medicines safety in practices by undertaking reviews, audits and medication switches. In addition, you will support training and development of practice administrators and PCN teams to support safe, effective and efficient processes involving medicines.
The successful applicant MUST be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC and will have good organisational skills, be self-motivated and able to prioritise own work. They will be able to work independently and as part of multi-disciplinary team.
The role will support GP practices (and Primary Care Network) to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and efficient systems for medicines related correspondence and medicines optimisation.
Support teams to ensure that the portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed and delivered effectively.
Support training and development of administrators and PCN teams to support safe, effective and efficient processes involving medicines.
Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and individuals.
Use and maintain information systems and databases relevant to the position including medicines optimisation, prescribing data, cost savings and patient outcomes.
