You will:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into effective Power BI visualizations.
  • Design, develop, and implement visually appealing and interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights.
  • Optimize and enhance existing Power BI reports to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and user-friendliness.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources to create unified datasets for reporting.
  • Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure data integrity and resolve data-related issues.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to validate report accuracy and troubleshoot any potential issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices, and proactively recommend improvements to existing reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with the business analysts and data scientists to understand data models and design effective data visualizations.
  • Assist in training end-users and provide ongoing support to ensure proper utilization of Power BI reports.
  • Document the report development process, including data sources, data transformations, and report design, for future reference.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Report Developer with hands-on experience in creating complex reports and dashboards.
  • Experience maintaining and supporting Tableau dashboards.
  • Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
  • Proficient in SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and dimensional modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

You may also have:

  • Microsoft Power BI certification (e.g., DA-100) is a plus.
  • Experience using Snowflake Database
  • Knowledge of data analytics and statistical concepts.
  • Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations.
  • Experience with industry standard headcount and financial terminology
  • Experience with VBA coding

Team profile:
This position is for a Reporting Specialist role on the Infrastructure Financial Planning & Analytics Technology Team (IFPAT) within the Finance Technology Super Department.
You will be a supporting member on the IFPAT team, interfacing primarily with the local team members and team leads located in Budapest, NY, Montreal, Mumbai, and Glasgow. The team works in an agile environment in delivering its list of current projects, as well as prioritized and backlog items.
