POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Member Service Centre (MSC) Outbound Organiser
Position Location NT, TAS, NSW or VIC
Employment Status: Full time Ongoing, subject to 6 months’ probation
Classification & Salary:
- MSC Organiser 1.1, $87,006 full time per annum + 15.4% superannuation.
- Darwin Remote Localities Allowance of $7,118.14 per annum is also payable on a fortnightly basis for NT region only.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY
Essential
- A commitment to union values and principles, helping others and making a contribution to society
- Committed to high service standards
- Demonstrated high-level communication skills
- Confident and enjoys speaking with people over the phone
- Capable of dealing with peak periods during industrial campaigns
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Excellent record-keeping and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to use commercial software packages, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience working with a member relationship database, or similar database
Desirable
- Experience as a union activist or delegate
- Involvement in union, community, student, environment or other campaigns/collective activities
- Previous experience processing payments and membership records over the phone
- Experience in outbound calling ,survey data collection or persuasive conversations
- Answering industrial inquiries and advising delegates and members
- Managing individual industrial cases such as Workers Compensation
