Job Description

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a motivated and innovative registered health professional to join our youth team in Wellington, providing support for young people who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues and co-existing alcohol and drug related issues. In this role you will work closely with the Clinical Lead Coordinator. You’ll provide treatment for the young people in your caseload, conduct AoD and MH assessments and provide clinical support to our counsellors and support workers.
The main responsibilities include providing client support, making clinical recommendations, and assisting with risk and referral management. You will also coordinate care and treatment plans with secondary services and other external stakeholders. Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise are essential.
The successful candidate will be passionate about providing a meaningful and supportive environment for rangatahi to assist in gaining social, health, education, whanau, community and cultural reconnection.
You will need to have excellent communication and networking skills and be able to build and sustain working relationships with youth, staff and external agencies.
