How you make a difference:
Under direct supervision and direction of the Mental Health Professional Supervisor or higher licensed medical professional, Mental Health Professional effectively applies mental health expertise and clinical skills in providing mental health services to inmates or clients resulting in an optimal level of care and significant achievements in therapeutic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts mental health evaluations and assessments for inmates referred by various sources and identifies treatment needs and appropriate level of care.
  • Provides mental health crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and clinical supervision for inmates on caseload.
  • Recommends and coordinates medication evaluations and non-pharmacological treatments, such as group or individual therapy, as needed.
  • Participates in treatment programming and planning meetings, CQI/QA studies, and provides staff training on mental health issues.
  • Documents services and encounters accurately and in compliance with facility and company policies, and provides linkage and discharge planning services when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology or Related Field: MA Clinical Psych, MA Counseling, MA Clinical Social Work

Experience

  • Two years’ experience
  • Prefer correctional/detention facility experience
  • Five years’ experience, prefer

Licenses/Certifications

  • Current (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS and ACLS certification through AHA
  • Current (and must maintain and keep) medical license with no restrictions in state(s) working
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration

Additional Details : Full-Time Evening position Up to $7,500 Bonus
