Description:
This specialist administration role requires significant organisational skills, initiative, time management skills and personal credibility. The role requires a widely experienced Administrator with the ability to provide an excellent, confidential and efficient service.
The post holder provides a comprehensive service across sites in relation to the Mental Health Act 1983, the Mental Capacity Act (and related legislation), in order to support multidisciplinary teams in their compliance with all relevant legislation requirements and other relevant procedures.
The post holder will be expected to work on their own, using their own initiative within the guidelines set by Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Provision of a high level efficient, comprehensive and confidential Mental Health Legislation Administrative Service.

- Responsible for all aspects of administrative support, working to optimum in terms of efficiency and organisation.
To undertake administrative work as required by the service / department.
Maintain a caseload which may be geographically or alphabetically allocated, in conjunction with the Mental Health Legislation Team Leader.
To deal efficiently with all correspondence, emails, monitoring telephone enquiries and providing information as appropriate.
Ensure that MCA Liberty Protection Safeguards documentation is correct and act accordingly if not.
Support Divisional compliance with the relevant statutory duties placed upon it and the Trust as a whole.
Arrange and provide an advisory function for Associate Hospital Managers’ hearings.
Ensure that all provisions and procedures in relation to First Tier Tribunals (Mental Health) and other court hearings are met as appropriate.
To type and compose letters, memoranda and other documentation as required.
Run routine reports as necessary (from relevant departmental systems)
Responsible for booking accommodation and making travel arrangements.
To convene, administer and attend regular meetings as required, producing agendas and accurate minutes, making all necessary arrangements, including the collation of papers and agenda items.
To maintain an accurate appointments schedule and manage the time of the service function, this may include booking and organising meetings and booking rooms.
To maintain an efficient filing system including brought forward items to ensure that deadlines for responses are met.
To deal with enquiries including staff members and other visiting professionals.
Responsible for stock control and ordering supplies on the e-procurement system.
Systems operate smoothly, objectives are achieved
