Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 mental health practitioner to join t he Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) East and West Specialist Community Team, based at CAMHS Wokingham Hospital, or other base to be agreed. This position is a full-time role (37.5 hours). This post would be working across Berkshire in a split role , working 2 days in East Berkshire (across 3 localities: Bracknell, Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead and 3 days working in West Berkshire (across 2 localities: Reading and Newbury). Berkshire CAMHS is an innovative and dynamic service, providing specialist community mental health care to a child population of approximately 300,000 across the county. Care is provided through several different specialist teams and pathways.
Assess, formulate and implement treatment for patients
Identify appropriate interventions for young people and their families as well as the improvement of resilience and recovery which mitigates risks to themselves or others
Maintain and develop key relationships with professionals external to the area of service, as well as patients and their families

Responsibilities:

A degree in relevant field as well as a core profession eg Social worker, Nurse, OT
Experience in working with mental health and complex needs
Demonstrable skills in mental health assessments and formulation
Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle
