JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Mental Health Technician delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of basic services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Behavioral Health Tech will have an important role in the implementation of nursing care plans by performing direct and indirect patient care that complies with hospital policies and the State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed personnel. WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED:

High School Graduate or GED required.
An Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Demonstrated competency in BLS required upon hire and maintained.
C.N.A preferred
Prefer one year of inpatient psychiatric experience.
Medical Terminology and clerical background preferred.
