WE ARE HIRING A MENTAL WELLNESS CBT CLINICIAN!
As we continue to grow our team, we are looking for a Mental Health Wellness CBT Clinician to join our passionate, dedicated, and “BRAVE” team! Permanent, Full-Time, 35 hours per week, evening hours and weekends may be required.

Starting Salary Range: $72,000 - $76,400 *Candidate experience to be considered when deciding starting salary.
Location: This Mental Health Wellness CBT Clinician role will be working primarily in the Georgina, Newmarket & Richmond Hill municipalities and will be required to travel within York Region.

REQUIREMENTS
- Registration with an appropriate regulatory body for the delivery of psychotherapy is required (Registered Social Worker, Registered Occupational Therapist, Registered Psychotherapist, or Registered Nurse)
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a counselling role is required.
- Strong knowledge of Indigenous frameworks, including generational trauma and the impact of colonization is required (i.e., Residential Schools, 60s Scoop, Millennial Scoop, and the far-reaching effects it still has on Indigenous persons, families, and communities)
- Operates from an Indigenous lens. For example:
- Demonstrates the 7 Grandfather teachings and understanding of cultural teachings
- Working based on the Medicine Wheel; wellness incorporates all 4 parts of a person
- Use of cultural traditions and ceremonies as part of a holistic healing plan
- Ability to integrate Western modalities with Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check).
- A valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Master’s degree in social work, counselling, psychology, or equivalent in a relevant field is preferred
The Mental Health Wellness CBT Clinician specifically supports the Indigenous Service Pathway. As such, we give priority to applicants who identify as First Nations, Inuit, Métis, and those with close affiliations.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychosocial assessments, based on culturally appropriate adaptations to the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy guidelines
- Provide a range of psychotherapy treatments and interventions, using culturally adapted CBT western and Indigenous approaches.
- Participate in Clinical Consultation meetings with a consulting Clinical Psychologist.
- Lead meaningful relationship building and collaboratively develop processes, and programs with Indigenous communities
- Strive for respectful culturally relevant and safe engagement with Indigenous Elders, Traditional Knowledge Keepers, and Indigenous Leaders to inform training, service delivery, policies, and OSP (Ontario Structured Psychotherapy) program offerings.
- Attend virtual and in-person meetings to promote the OSP CMHA Indigenous pathway
