JOB TITLE: MENTORABOUT ENDEAVOUR 360:

Endeavour 360 is an alternative education provision based in Hampshire and Surrey.
We aim to re-ignite the spark and enthusiasm for life in the young people we work with. Through consistent mentoring and tailored educational experience plans specific to each individual’s needs, we will help them to build the toolkit necessary for everyday life, and the confidence to tackle the future independently. Endeavour 360 provides alternative education provisions focused on holistic development for young people. Through engaging community activities, outdoor experiences, and personalised support, we aim to empower students to navigate their educational journey and develop lifelong skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience working with vulnerable young people.
  • A strong belief in the potential and strengths of all individuals.
  • Valid driver’s license with business insurance.
  • Completion of an enhanced background check and relevant safeguarding training.
  • Two references, including one from your most recent employer.

SITE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sessions will take place at agreed-upon community locations between mentor and mentee.
  • Mentors must not bring students to personal residences or private locations.

Responsibilities:

A MENTOR’S PURPOSE:

To foster strong, professional relationships with young people involved with Endeavour 360, promoting positive family and peer relationships, personal development, and informed decision-making. This role supports young people struggling in full-time education by equipping them with the tools to successfully engage in their next educational steps and develop holistically.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE:

  • Empower students to address current challenges and develop coping strategies for the future.
  • Serve as a role model by maintaining a healthy, trusting relationship through clear communication and appropriate boundaries.
  • Recognise and celebrate each young person’s strengths, talents and gifts, encouraging them to channel these positively.
  • Actively listen to students, offering tailored support, encouragement, and guidance.
  • Facilitate engagement in outdoor and community-based activities to expose students to new opportunities and experiences.
