Description:
DESCRIPTION
The position is responsible for providing oversight to several youth prevention mentoring programs including Mountain Mentors, peer mentoring, and the teen center. The Mentoring Programs Supervisor will promote the program mission, achieve long and short-term goals and objectives, expand resources and maintain quality and effectiveness in all activities and services. The candidate is responsible for the overall management of the programs, volunteers, mentors, and mentees in accordance with Summit County Government; and Youth & Family Services organizational goals, mission and operational policies. This position reports directly to the Manager of Youth & Family Services and supervises Mountain Mentors program coordinators and peer mentoring specialist.
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-5 years experience working with youth
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to work with a team and to collaborate with community agencies and schools
- A four-year degree in related field (education, social work, psychology, etc.)
- Masters Degree preferred but not needed.
- Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise all Mentor Programing staff and their assigned programs
- Promote programs county-wide to youth, families, and prospective volunteers
- Oversee volunteer recruitment strategy, screening, background checks, and training
- Coordinate and participate in large group activities
- Organize fundraising activities and discounts for the program
- Provide support to youth, families and volunteers
- Collaborate with other community organizations
- Attend staff meetings, related conferences and training for professional growth
- Attend related youth-serving agency meetings
- Participate in Colorado Statewide Mentoring Partnership
- Assist with grants to fund Mountain Mentors programming a s directed by Y&F Manager
- Complete budget and grant reports for all programs
- Create policies and procedures for programs
- Evaluate and measure program outcomes and engagement
- Support Healthy Choices curriculum as needed
- Supervise the coordination and growth of The Drop Teen Center
- Produce a variety of biweekly, monthly and yearly reports using Innovative Mentoring Database, MS Excel, MS Word
- Create a monthly newsletter and promote programs on social media
