Description:
We are currently hiring a qualified MEP Inspector to join our team for an upcoming project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in MEP inspection or quality control (typically 5+ years).
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM, or similar).
- Certification in quality assurance/inspection (e.g., QA/QC certification, Abu Dhabi Engineer’s License Card, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and standards (e.g., Abu Dhabi/UAE local codes).
- Excellent understanding of construction processes and quality control procedures.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues early.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Knowledge of inspection tools and testing procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical wiring, fire protection, plumbing, and drainage systems.
- Verify that materials, equipment, and installation practices comply with approved specifications, standards, and construction drawings.
- Identify and report non-conformances, discrepancies, or defects in MEP works and recommend corrective actions.
- Supervise and witness testing and commissioning activities for MEP systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Verify that test results meet the project’s requirements and applicable standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test reports, and any quality-related issues or corrective actions.
- Review and verify contractor-submitted shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with contractors, other consultants, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of MEP works.
- Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams on MEP-related matters.
- Attend project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and quality control issues.
- Ensure that all MEP works comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols during MEP installation and testing activities.
- Inspect the progress of MEP installations against the project schedule and highlight any delays or risks.
- Provide input on the sequencing and coordination of MEP works to avoid conflicts with other trades.
