JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to Product Manager, the Merchandise Assistant will be responsible in Assisting the Product Manager in delivering the elements of the brand through the seasons. Support the merchandising functions while showing interest in the product and enabling profitable and sustainable growth.
- Partner with Product Mangers to drive future growth of department by achieving and exceeding targets
- Identify trends that are relevant to Groupe Dynamite’s customer
- Is in constant pursuit of trends and suggests ways to impact current business with knowledge of style trends
- Demonstrate an understanding and participate in the product cycle calendar to ensure deadlines are met
- Manage purchase orders and follow-ups on product status with internal clients (e.g. Import, QC etc.)
- Analyze key competitors and identify trends that are relevant to the customer and suggest actions to help grow the business
- Elevate and effectively communicate business related issues to the Product Managers in a timely manner
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the brand
- Participate in meetings by identifying missed opportunities and making appropriate suggestions for change
- Participate in the training and development of merchandise assistants and/or interns
Responsibilities:
- DEC or Bachelor Degree in Fashion Marketing, Business Admin, Finance or related field
- 1 to 2 years in a similar role
- Strong systems knowledge: Word, Excel, Retail-1
- Strong fashion sense/brand vision
- Bilingualism
