JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Team Lead, E-Commerce Dynamite, the E-commerce Merchandiser plays a pivotal role in the online merchandising of dynamiteclothing.com and its mobile application. This position is responsible for the execution of online merchandising strategies, analysis of product and web performance, and optimization of content to enhance customer experience and drive business objectives. As a key member of the team, the Mid-Level E-commerce Merchandiser will also mentor and oversee a Junior Merchandiser, ensuring cohesive and strategic execution of merchandising initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in Fashion/Digital Marketing, Business Management, E-commerce, or digital-related fields;
  • At least three (3) to four (4) years of related work experience;
  • Proficiency in Excel;
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics;
  • Proficiency in Jira (or other project management software), Agile methodology, SEO Optimization, and UX design is an asset;
  • Well established business sense;
  • Exceptional written communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills;
  • Ability to prioritize, adapt and meet fast turnaround deadlines;
  • Proven collaborative team player;
  • Detail-oriented and analytical;
  • Bilingualism (spoken and written).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Merchandising Strategies (40%)
  • Lead and oversee the execution of weekly and monthly merchandising updates, including product landing pages, campaign landing pages, site navigation, and internal search optimization;Track and report on the progress of merchandising initiatives, ensuring goals are met and strategies are optimized based on business needs and brand vision;
  • Develop and optimize merchandising strategies based on business needs, brand vision, and market trends on a monthly and quarterly basis;
  • Analyze E-commerce and product sales data effectively, highlighting opportunities for improvement;
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of merchandising rules and placements, ensuring a coherent and customer-friendly shopping experience;
  • Initiate & coordinate with cross-departmental teams to align merchandising strategies with broader marketing and product initiatives;
  • Develop and maintain merchandising and ranking optimization strategies, including navigation enhancements and sorting rules, inclusive of conducting A/B tests.
  • Driving Actionable Insights and Innovation (30%)
  • Monitor and report on product performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve online conversion and sales. Taking responsibility for delivering key insights that DRIVE our merchandising strategy for the Dynamite team;Lead the business review process, identifying trends, opportunities, and strategies to enhance the online assortment and merchandising, fostering a data-driven approach to merchandising;
  • Develop and implement SEO strategies by collaborating with the SEO team, using SEO tools independently and delegating to the copywriters to ensure content optimization and alignment with merchandising goals;
  • Proactively identify and address inventory issues, collaborating with teams to enhance product visibility and sales, and recommend reshoots or merchandising adjustments as needed;
  • Initiate and lead Business Review Monday meetings and sessions with other cross-departmental teams, focusing on performance insights and making reactive strategic adjustments.
  • Expert Stakeholder/Partnership (30%)
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for email and photo merchandising recommendations, delegating specific tasks to the Junior Merchandiser;
  • Establish and maintain a monthly planning cadence with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and strategic focus;
  • Lead & engage in strategic planning sessions to align merchandising initiatives with marketing, analytics, E-commerce and product development goals;
  • Foster strong partnerships across departments to ensure E-commerce objectives are met and integrated with overall business strategies by actively participating and initiating in merch and marketing meetings, and proposing new ideas and strategies based on current performance, business goals, and market trends;
  • Contribute to the planning/development and execution of seasonal campaigns, ensuring alignment with merchandising strategies and customer engagement objectives, as well as offer optimizations to the proposed strategies from cross-departmental teams;
  • Coordinate with the SEO team to enhance product visibility and drive traffic, ensuring that merchandising efforts are integrated with overall SEO strategies;
  • Collaborate on digital initiatives and review Go-To-Market (GTM) tactics and seasonal campaigns, ensuring they are informed by merchandising insights and strategies;
  • Mentor and delegate tasks with the Junior Merchandiser and E-comm Product Copywriter, guiding their contributions to the merchandising/SEO strategy and execution;
  • Oversee and contribute to various documentation and reporting tasks, ensuring clear communication and timely execution of merchandising initiatives;
  • Actively participate in cross-functional meetings, offering insights and recommendations based on current business performance and trends.
