Description:

Our team is searching for a highly motivated, dynamic and hands-on Merchandising Assistant. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, an excellent communicator and enjoys being a part of a winning team. This role will report to our Visual Design Director and will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days on-site at our PJ HQ and 2 days remotely
What you will be doing:

Merchandising

  • Researching territory trends
  • Collaborating with Showroom and Sales Managers
  • Ordering, tracking, and confirming installation of vignette materials
  • Being the NIP liaison for the Visuals Department
  • Implementing approved merchandising strategy into Master Wing Rotation, individual showroom rotations, and vignette displays.
  • Collaborating and executing on selections for wings and vignette displays for new product
  • Ensuring that all launch vignette materials are delivered on time and installed per Launch requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining launch project plan as it pertains to Visual Design
  • Ensuring showroom displays are up to standard via reports, requests, and site visits

Showroom Construction

  • Working with partners on boutique set up and display onboarding
  • Managing vignette installation and wing papering process of PJ showrooms
  • Being onsite for set up and coordination
  • Traveling as needed per project

Showroom Sales Tools

  • Ensuring that all showrooms have proper Sales Tools including: wing cuts, wing tags, advanced samples, wing boards, vignette tags, various special wing tags (BOY, NEW, Category) and colorway posters
  • Facilitating layout of key tools such as colorway posters
  • Coordinating production of sales tools for showrooms with the Production Assistant
  • Ensuring the quality of sales tools for showrooms is maintained
  • Maintaining inventory levels of wings, colorway posters and wing tags for showrooms
  • Coordinating requests from Showrooms for sales tools with the Design Logistics Team and following up with the Showrooms on delivery and installation

Must Haves:

  • 4-5 years’ experience required
  • Knowledge of wallcovering installation and wallcovering calculations
  • Ability to create attainable project plans with proper scoping, timeline, resources, execute and deliver results on deadline and in budget.
  • Ability to analyze reports for inventory management, sales reports, and market research.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Merchandising or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook, PowerPoint, Photoshop, SketchUp
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and graphically
  • Firm understanding of color theory and product placement
  • Detailed and organized – ability to track details
  • Foster teamwork and cross departmental relationships
  • Familiarity with retail, sales and marketing strategies in the luxury design industry
  • Professionalism to always represent the company
  • Self-sufficient and adaptable
  • Excellent communication of obstacles with solutions
  • Understands timelines and able to manage project risks
  • Able to shift focus and prioritize as needed to meet multiple deadlines
  • Proactively meets challenges to develop innovative approaches quickly and skillfully
