About the role
Reporting to the Processing Manager, the purpose of this role is to provide technical support for Mill operation, and to ensure improvement opportunities are identified and implemented through the ongoing review of operational practices and technological changes within the broader industry.
What You’ll Do
Develop, communicate and implement the weekly and monthly ore treatment plan.
Monitor and ensure achievement of budget plant performance through agreed metallurgical accounting procedures.
Lead the metallurgical program ensuring future ore preparedness.
Implement and maintain short- and medium-term production planning to provide accurate detailed forecasts.
Manage the plant metallurgical performance to achieve budget and forecasted production and cost metrics.
Provide technical and operational support for the day-to-day activities involved in process plant operations and maintenance.
Assist in providing training and guidance to operational crews.
Conduct the metallurgical accounting balance and deliver all daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Conduct feasibility and optimisation studies and provide recommendations with the aim of adding value.
Ensure the Ore treatment function meets all site and external compliance requirements.
About You
Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Process or Chemical Engineering is essential.
Previous experience in Metalliferous processing.
Strong practical and technical metallurgy base knowledge.
Demonstrated track record of problem solving leading to process plant improvements.

The Operation
Tritton Copper Operations is a long life copper operation located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in central New South Wales that commenced production in 2005. One hundred percent owned and operated by Aeris Resources, Tritton forms the cornerstone of Aeris copper production.
Tritton comprises an underground mining complex feeding a 1.8 million tonne per annum conventional processing plant. Copper concentrate produced at the operation is railed to the Port of Newcastle for export to customers internationally. The current mine plan for Tritton extends to FY2030.
