Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
This fulltime opportunity will deliver technical expertise in mineral processing for Denison-led initiatives, with an emphasis on metallurgical accounting of uranium, process optimization, and effluent treatment influencing the future direction of operations at the Wheeler River Uranium Project – Phoenix Deposit.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical guidance to lead the design of mineral processing applications, including uranium processing, water treatment and other operational processes.
- Develop, implement and coordinate laboratory testing programs and associated documentation and SOPs.
- Create process flow diagrams, design criteria, metallurgical balances, and prepare procurement documents to identify and plan for material and technical requirements, ensuring technical accuracy and conformity to communicated standards and best practices.
- Provide project and operational support for the metallurgical team through the systematic collection and analysis of test work, metallurgical performance, and operational data.
- Conduct sampling from various stages of processing for laboratory analysis and testing, ensuring the maintenance of a clean, safety, and systematically organized work environment that aligns to GLP and GDP principles.
- Participate in the selection of key equipment affecting metallurgical performance or laboratory safety and efficiency as required.
- Provide support for the development of scoping, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies, as well as executing and/or managing the metallurgical components of projects aimed at enhancing the overall efficiency of processing operations.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the formulation of processes and criteria for various geological deposits, ensuring their integration into detailed engineering activities.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, support budget development, and create other documents or presentations as required.
- Participate in the monitoring and control of bulk processing or piloting campaigns.
- Build collaborative partnerships with internal teams and liaise effectively and in a timely manner with external laboratories, contractors or consultants as required.
- Ensure all tasks are carried out by oneself or personnel in strict adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations and protocols and exhibit best practices and behaviors related to both physical and psychological safety for oneself and colleagues by performing all responsibilities and tasks in accordance with the Company’s established policies, protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
