Metallurgy Graduate - Process Technician

MONDAY – FRIDAY 8.30-4.30 WITH SOME FLEXIBILITY REQUIRED.

We’re seeking a skilled Metallurgy Graduate that can be trained as a Process Technician / Product Specialist within metal manufacturing. You will be responsible for technical aspects of all products produced at the site. Additionally, the role will support the day-to-day running of the facility for all technical requirements.

• Will be the technical lead on all products manufactured at the specific site.
• Accountable for the set-up of process routes to ensure products conforms to all customer requirements. Monitoring and improvement activities around these routings essential.
• Assist the entire business by investigating and closing concerns around method and product non-conformity and feedback into process changes.
• Review of all new customer specifications to confirm manufacturing has capability.
• Follow and strive to continuously improve the Business Management System and be an ambassador for the system into operations.
• Responsible for liaising with customer technical departments in matters of process change/improvement and seeking necessary approval when required.
• Accountable for seeking out ‘Best Practice’ for manufacturing process and systems both within the group and externally.
• Will be involved in customer product improvement events.
