Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Mgr - New Business Development contributes to the performance of the Sales Department by the pursuit and development of new clients in line with the company sales strategy and marketing plan.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
- 8+ years progressive business development experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years in a leadership role
- Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
- High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.

Responsibilities:
- Develops a full and comprehensive understanding of the InTouch Group products and services.
- Identifies and investigates the various target market sectors.
- Investigates the competition and their strengths/weaknesses.
- Demonstrates compliance and agreement to the sales and marketing strategies or challenge as appropriate.
- Plans a structured and cohesive sales campaign within the scope of the sales and marketing strategy.
- Identifies and targets specific market sectors and specific companies within these sectors.
- Develops alternative sales approaches/campaigns as appropriate for the target market/sectors/companies.
- Plans, prepares and develops professional generic/specific sales/marketing letters as appropriate.
- Plan, prepare and develop a confident and professional cold calling strategy, with 2 specific aims; to identify and target the main decision maker, and to secure an appointment/presentation
- Prepares final tender document in a professional manner and is executed in accordance with the InTouch sales and marketing strategy.
- Constructs profitable price schedules for the provision of each InTouch service.
- Seeks innovative ways of deriving revenue for our services with referral to the marketing strategy.
- Seeks the largest contract possible with the intention to secure 100% coverage of the client’s business, gains agreement to the shortest possible payment terms and summaries any agreements accurately in writing.
- Closes sales on our terms or with minimum deviation at the earliest opportunity.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.
- Additional duties as assigned.
