Description:
HERE AT AMERICOLD SPALDING WE ARE NOW RECRUITING FOR A MHE & WAREHOUSE TRAINER
We are seeking a qualified individual to deliver training activities, including manual handling, inductions, and Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE), as well as other in-house training programs. The role involves identifying and recommending areas for improvement. You will be responsible for providing detailed evaluations for MHE trainees and operatives, and for accurately recording trainee progress and achievements.
Key responsibilities include delivering training and assessing the capabilities of both novice and qualified MHE operators, ensuring they meet certification and legal requirements. You will attend regular training courses from accredited providers to maintain up-to-date knowledge in line with current legislation and practice.
The role requires a strong commitment to health, safety, and welfare, ensuring that all associates work in a safe environment in accordance with company procedures and legal obligations. You will provide clear information, instruction, and training to ensure the competence of associates, while maintaining high standards and supporting continuous improvement in MHE skill levels.
Effective communication is essential, as you will provide feedback and recommendations for improvement to both associates and the Warehouse Manager. You will also liaise with warehouse leadership to understand upcoming training needs, and be flexible in assisting with warehouse operations as needed. Additional duties include assisting the site QESH lead with inductions and maintaining the site training matrix.
Flexibility is required to work across different shifts, including night shifts, and you will be expected to undergo training and personal development as needed to support your role
