As a Band 6 clinician the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) provides the ideal environment for you to expand your existing skills.
This service is particularly aimed at offering early intervention to children and young people experiencing mild not moderate mental health difficulties. MHST’s main therapeutic approach is Low Intensity CBT via 1:1 or groups within an education setting.
As an experienced practitioner, your existing skills and knowledge will be a vital part of the team.

Responsibilities:

As a registered Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist OR a registered Low Intensity CBT practitioner (EMHP or CWP) you will work in Educational Settings supporting children young people, their families and carers to promote best practice. In addition, you will provide clinical supervision and line management to EMHPs and CWPs in the service.
You need to have completed the Low Intensity CBT Supervision Training course at university or be willing to undertake it. NHS England requires one year prior experience to be able to attend the course at university which LPT will support you to attend. The Low Intensity CBT Supervision Training course will start on the 8th October 2024 at University of Northampton.
