Microsoft Azure Data Engineer

This will be a full time assignment until year end, thereafter it will be extended as an “on demand assignment” (16 hours/week minimum in Stockholm) and should be active and available for taking up extra effort with short notice.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• At least a bachelor’s degree within Computer Science or comparable field and you have at least 4 years’ experience in software development
• Experience in handling large cloud data platform maintenance.
• Ability to monitor data processing using integration and orchestration tools as Azure Data Factory and Databricks
• Well familiar with Microsoft Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL database and Azure Synapse data warehouse solutions
• Familiarity with Azure Monitor or Log Analytics for real-time monitoring and troubleshooting of data pipelines, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
• Experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices using Azure DevOps, especially for automating data pipeline deployments.
• Experience in data modeling and programming using spark SQL and TSQL
• Develop and maintain Power BI reporting and self-service solution.
• Self-motivated and self-going
• English is a must and Swedish is beneficial.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• You have a hands-on mentality to solve complex issues.
• You are skilled in understanding the customer demands and can support them and build sustainable solution in IT-landscape.

• We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer with application operations and maintenance expertise focused on Microsoft Azure cloud data platform.
• Handle data platform monitoring, quality, and error handling end to end.
• Experience in handling support tickets and reporting.
• As part of the team, you will take part in some development work on a need basis (requirement analysis, design, development, test, deployment, hand over).
• Design and develop data solutions completely.
• Work closely with our business partners, system manager and help them to get better insights on the platform health and stability.
