DESCRIPTION
The Data & Analytics Consultant is responsible for being a partner to team members, a mentor, and directly enabling growth of the Manufacturing Intelligence team at MCA. The Consultant is expected to be involved in all aspects of project implementations, drive innovation, upskill and mentor junior teammates, and partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement.
Within a project framework, the Data & Analytics Consultant is responsible for building client relationships, effectively utilizing Agile project delivery methodologies, implementing scalable and efficient technical architectures to satisfy client requirements, and performing hands on implementations of Microsoft data solutions for MCA Connect’s current and future customers/projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years Data Warehousing (Azure/SQL/Synapse/Spark/Delta Lake), ETL (ADF Pipelines/SSIS), Analysis Services, DAX, Power BI Pro and Premium and/or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing data solutions for complex business problems.
- Knowledge of Relational Databases, Object Oriented Design, and Data Structures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professional business demeanor.
- Customer-focused attitude and desire to interface directly with end-user clients.
- Demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience preferable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft ERP and CRM tools desirable.
- Kimball Dimensional Modeling and batch/incremental ETL development approaches.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions and document client requirements.
- Independently perform data mapping analysis and documentation tasks.
- Demonstrate dimensional modeling capabilities and delivery.
- Independently build, maintain, and support basic data integration pipelines.
- Be able to implement complex data transformations using SQL, Python, and DAX.
- Build Power BI Reports, Dashboards, and Apps.
- Conduct working sessions with clients.
- Field ad hoc requests from clients.
- Communicate findings or problems to clients and identify next steps.
- Estimate tasks and track work to completion using Azure DevOps.
- Perform peer review for source code version control.
- Independent validation of data pipeline performance and accuracy.
- Utilize bench time to improve technical capabilities, obtain certifications, train others, and support pre-sales processes.
- Must be open to ~10% travel on an as needed basis.
