As an experienced Microsoft Support Engineer within our Infrastructure practice, you will bring Subject Matter experience to the technical delivery of enterprise scale solutions into public, hybrid, and secure cloud environments. Taking on this business-critical role of Senior Microsoft Support Engineer you will be responsible for working closely with customers to provide a high touch managed services partnership model and ensure a great customer experience.
Skills and experiences
- Proven ability to work within a structured IT governance framework and deliver results that adhere to relevant Commonwealth standards and policies.
- Well-developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, both written and verbal with ability to negotiate outcomes as required.
- Taking ownership of designs and transition plans while engaging with ICT operational teams to coordinate implementation activities, assisting in the resolution of technical issues as they arise.
- Provide technical expertise to projects and business areas and leads the technical deliverables.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism, has sound judgement and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and is highly motivated.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Your proven experience in Microsoft support, including Azure platform and infrastructure, Identity Management, Azure Active Directory, Monitoring, auditing, and operations is foundational to this role.
- You are experienced across Azure architecture and implementation, including Azure Active Directory, IaaS and PaaS solutions, Network, Storage, Security and more.
- You are experienced in Automation, IAC (Infrastructure As Code), templating of solutions enabling rapid and consistent deployment.
- You are proficient with Azure VMware Solution, legacy on premise VMWare, or VMware on AWS experience would be highly regarded
About you
- You are an experienced IT infrastructure and cloud platform support engineer with a track record of support and delivery leadership.
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills that will enable you to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contribute effectively to our Managed Services organisation.
- You will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills enabling you to be creative and innovative in the support of our clients.
- You will also seek to continually improve our clients’ environments though evergreen practices and platform evolution.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor application health, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to enhance performance
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous availability and efficiency of our applications.
- Utilizing Agile methodology, you will participate in regular sprints and stand-up meetings, contributing to the iterative improvement of our systems.
- Configure and maintain monitoring tools, analyzing performance data, and providing timely resolution of incidents
