WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
97.7 Rock in Grande Prairie, Alberta has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Day Announcer to host a daily weekday show. We’re looking for someone to entertain and inform our passionate Rock audience with an entertaining and format-fitting presentation.
You’ll need to be passionate about the Rock music format and creating content, a team player, someone who can network and keep a finger on the pulse of Grande Prairie and all of Alberta, be organised, and able to hold your own in front of a microphone. The right candidate may also get the chance to host a multi-market show airing in other Alberta cities!

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Host, operate and produce own weekday live show.
- Prepare on-brand, entertaining and demographic appropriate content for on-air and online
- Manage social media platforms while on-air
- Be knowledgeable of world events as they relate to the station audience
- Voice track or cover other shifts as necessary
- Perform commercial narration for production purposes as required
- Possible daily music scheduling tasks using MusicMaster CS, including music library maintenance and other music duties assigned by the Content Director
- Support our Branded Content & Integration team. You’ll help our team create, plan & execute on-air and online contests, sponsorships, branded content & integration campaigns
