Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking Mid-Level Central Plant Operators to support our night shift business in Chantilly, VA. This organization supports critical government programs.
Successful candidates will maintain, monitor, adjust, test, fix and repair Central Plant related equipment. Related equipment is, but not limited to, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air distribution equipment and gas fired hot water heaters. There will be a 6-month training and Certification process once onboard that you will need to complete with no less than 80% satisfaction.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Basic Computer experience and competency
- General mechanical/electrical equipment knowledge
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Experience using FMCS systems; Siemens, SCADA, Trane Tracer
- Experience with UPS power systems
- Experience with Power Distribution or Backup Generator equipment
- Stationary Engineered Licensed, Journeyman or Master Licensed in Mechanical or Electrical Trades
- An active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years’ related work, Bachelor, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Monitor central plant equipment via building management systems
- Fix and repair mechanical, electrical and life safety systems by interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Perform equipment rounds to ensure equipment is operating and designed efficiency
- Use hand and power tools used to make repairs and adjustments to this equipment
- Use energy management systems, in particular Staefa brand EMCS/BMS
- Work with power distribution systems from both commercial and back-up power generation
