Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist to join our dynamic team in Meza, Arizona! This position will directly support both Special Access Programs (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information Programs (SCI).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of experience in industrial security
  • 3+ years of experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: NISP, SAP and/or SCI

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent work or military experience
  • CDSE, NSTI/SASSI or other Professional Certification in SAP Security, SCI Administration, ICD-705, JSIG/RMF, COMSEC, or any other related security certifications
  • Working knowledge of DoD 5220.00-M (NISPOM Manual) and DoDM 5205.07 Volumes 1-4
  • Experience with giving presentations and public speaking

TYPICAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.
  • Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action.
  • Assists less experienced personnel with Internal Security Controls.
  • Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.
  • Assists less experienced personnel with Administrative Inquiries.
  • Conducts Communications Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities in compliance with government regulations/requirements.
  • Assists COMSEC custodians and less experienced personnel in COMSEC responsibilities.
  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs.
  • Leads and performs Personnel Security team and/or processes (works with databases, reviews files, conducts interviews, submittals to customers and schedules briefings) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for standard customer requirements. Processes PSQs (Pre-Screen Questionnaires) and SF86s.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of Program Access Request (PAR) submission process.
  • Conducts security awareness training and education program (e.g., briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information.
  • Performs Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements.
  • Performs Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements.
  • Participates, as requested, on enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams. Assists less experienced personnel with Administrative Inquiries.
  • Be knowledgeable with and use DISS, JADE, and SIMS
