This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S, preferred location is Dallas, TX; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Application Development:
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure Java applications using Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
Code Enhancement:
Continuously improve existing codebase for better performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Database Management:
Implement and manage complex ORM solutions using Hibernate and ensure seamless integration with Oracle databases.
Design and optimize database schemas and queries.
Web Services:
Develop and maintain RESTful web services and APIs using the Spring framework.
Technical Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues promptly to maintain system stability and performance.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and designers, to deliver cohesive and robust solutions.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Testing and Debugging:
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure they meet quality
Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of professional experience in Java development.
  • Proven experience in working on diverse software development projects and delivering robust solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.

Hibernate Experience:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Hibernate framework.
  • Experience in configuring and optimizing Hibernate to integrate seamlessly with relational databases.
  • Ability to design, implement, and manage complex ORM solutions using Hibernate.
  • Proficiency in writing and tuning Hibernate queries (HQL).

Spring Framework Experience:

  • Strong background in using the Spring framework, including Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
  • Experience in building enterprise-level applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
  • Ability to develop RESTful web services and APIs using Spring framework.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $173,500.00.
