Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Mid-Level Procurement Agent (Level 3) to join our In Service Supplier Performance team in Seattle, Washington; Everett, Washington; or Seal Beach, California on first shift.
The Procurement Agent will provide support to external companies and internal organizations through his/her supply chain knowledge. Operation Procurement Agents for Boeing Commercial Airplanes manage a sophisticated web of suppliers that provide critical components of Boeing’s state-of-the-art commercial jetliners. Operation Procurement Agents for In Service Supplier Performance oversee supplier proprietary parts for all aircraft commodities, interface directly with Airlines, and enforce product support contract requirements to strengthen Supplier aftermarket support and enhance Customer fleet operations.
This role requires blending strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution, enabling the organizations to improve systems, business policies, processes and efficiencies to operate as One Boeing Supply Chain. The Statement of Work includes standard Supply Chain Management functions, data analysis, forecasting, supply and/or demand troubleshooting, and additional duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE):
- 3+ years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain processes
- 3+ years of experience interacting with customers (both internal and external), at all levels, on a one-on-one basis and in group settings
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally, as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 5+ years managing supplier quality and delivery performance
- 5+ years of experience working in Procurement and/or Contract Administration roles
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent work or military experience
TYPICAL EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Typically, 6 or more years of related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Work with internal and external resources, utilizing tools, processes and methods to enhance supplier performance to meet customer and program requirements.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and supply chain personnel.
- Communicate supplier performance status to programs, internal business partners, customers and all other stakeholders; with excellent verbal, reading, technical, and writing skills
Responsibilities:
- Manage and measure supplier performance.
- Develop and generate supplier performance metrics.
- Provide direction to suppliers to improve performance to contractual requirements.
- Lead supplier performance reviews.
- Evaluate risks and opportunities; assist suppliers in implementing risk mitigation plans.
- Communicate performance to plan to stakeholders and leadership.
