The Engineering Systems Engineering Design Software team is searching for a motivated Mid-Level Software Developer - Engineering Systems to join our team in North Charleston, SC; Everett, WA Kent, WA; or Renton, WA.
As a part of the team, you will support our computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) suite of tools including the Dassault Systems CATIA and Enovia applications, as well as numerous Boeing-built plug-ins and stand-alone applications. In this mid-level role, you will help drive the implementation of new technologies to enable Boeing’s world-class Engineering team while working with teammates to strengthen our existing software footprint.
THIS POSITION MUST MEET EXPORT CONTROL COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS. TO MEET EXPORT CONTROL COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS, A “U.S. PERSON” AS DEFINED BY 22 C.F.R. §120.15 IS REQUIRED. “U.S. PERSON” INCLUDES U.S. CITIZEN, LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENT, REFUGEE, OR ASYLEE.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience programming in C/C++
- 3+ years of experience with software development, deployment, maintenance, and support
- 3+ years of experience with systems administration UNIX/HP-UX/Linux/AIX
- 3+ years of experience in CAD/CAM software
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Experience developing and supporting the implementation of CATIA and/or Enovia.
- Experience with Dassault Systems CAA APIs.
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Typically, 5 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Drives the design, program, test, implementation and documentation of complex computing applications and software or computing architecture and computing application system designs
- Collaborates with teammates on analysis of end user processes to define application requirements
- Writes and compiles complex code based on documented design or designs application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems for specific applications
- Modifies or upgrades complex applications to maintain functionality and performance
- Identifies and recommends system and application improvements
- Identifies and resolves complex programming or application architecture problems
- Helps drive the development of custom software and integrations for current and future-state CAD/CAM solutions
