EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real time or non-real-time system
- Experience with the full software development lifecycles
- Experience with requirements analysis
- Experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, JavaScript
- Experience with configuration management and collaboration tools such as (or similar to) Git, JIRA, Collaborator, Beyond Compare, and VersionOne
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real time or non-real-time system
- Experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain (Gitlab, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, etc)
Telework Availability: This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

SUMMARY PAY RANGE:
Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The selected candidate will work with the Disruptive Computing & Networks (DC&N) product team focused on the concept, requirements, architecture, design and development of a future system. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
- Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
- Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
- Performs software project management and software supplier management functions
- Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics. Executes and documents software research and development projects
- Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations
- Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards
- Works under general direction
