Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated QA (Test) Engineer to join our team and be instrumental in refining and expanding ReportStream’s capabilities to handle a broader range of conditions with improved efficiency and reconfigurability. Your expertise will ensure the platform’s high reliability and performance, impacting millions by facilitating better public health management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive quality assurance strategies and processes across the project.
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including test automation, performance testing, and security checks.
  • Develop and support automated testing frameworks using tools like JUnit, Jest, Playwright, and GitHub Actions.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to enhance the development practices and ensure seamless integration and delivery.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the product requirements and architecture to effectively oversee quality validation.
  • Utilize emerging technologies and best practices in testing and DevOps to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Manage defect identification and resolution processes, ensuring all issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Communicate technical challenges and progress to both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Ensure that all aspects of product quality meet compliance standards for accessibility, security, and usability.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on test automation and quality assurance.
  • Extensive experience with Java and JavaScript testing environments.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments, shell scripting, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in Agile and DevOps practices.
  • Proven ability to work independently on complex projects.
  • U.S. Citizenship, Green Card, or EAD required.
  • Must be able to meet any other requirements for government contracts for which they are hired (e.g., must reside in the U.S.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in setting up QA processes in Agile & DevOps environments.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as FHIR and HL7.
  • Experience with public sector projects, particularly in healthcare or government settings.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $130,000 (DOE and project-specific details
