This is the job: Mid/Senior System Engineer Network Automation Team

• Portugal
• Remote
• Proficiency in English (mandatory)

These are the essential skills:

• You have 3+/5+ years of experience as a system engineer;
• You have basic understanding of networking concepts, and network infrastructure components such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• You are proficient in Python and know your way around bash as well.
• You are familiar with tools like Chef for managing and maintaining configuration consistency across systems.
• Proficient in building and consuming RESTful APIs for integrating network services and automation tools;
• Proficient in using version control systems like Git for collaborative development and code management;
• Common Linux distributions knowledge (Ubuntu, and optionally Red Hat, Debian);
• Good understanding of databases like MySQL.
• A solid ability to troubleshoot network-related issues and experience with network monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of tools such as Grafana or Elasticsearch.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Icinga and Prometheus.
• Knowledge of IP addresses and subnetting, DHCP, VLANs;
• Basic knowledge of (or curiosity for) ISP-related technologies such as servers’hardware and cloud technologies.
• Interest in infrastructure automation.
